"I have tried to recall what things were like here in Maynooth in the teen years of this century and that is a long time ago." So says Isabel McAlpine, in this newspaper clipping from 1982 detailing what St. Patrick's Day in Maynooth looked like 60 years earlier.
We expect that many of you will be spending your St. Patrick's Day this year a little differently from last year, with recent decisions being made by our provincial government, and as such we thought you might be interested in this glimpse into the past.
