The Hastings Highlands Public Library received a donation of $1000 from the Papineau Lake Community Association (PLCA) which was put towards purchasing 50 new Indigenous books in adult, teen, and children's fiction and non-fiction. On Thursday, August 8th, Toronto author Dave Meslin came out to the Hastings Highlands Public Library to talk about his book "Teardown: Rebuilding Democracy From The Ground Up."
