Being a member of the Hastings Highlands Public Library doesn't just get you access to our physical collection of books and movies - we offer a number of online resources for educational and entertainment purposes with your membership.
One of these resources is the popular streaming service, Kanopy. Kanopy strives to provide films that inspire, enrich, and challenge our perspectives on the world. There are no fees and no commercials, just thoughtful entertainment available on your preferred device. And all you need to do to access this diverse catalogue is log in with your library card. Getting Started With Kanopy
Visit hastingshighlands.kanopy.com and click "Add Library Card." You will be directed to input your card number which can be found on the back of your physical card, or by asking staff. The final step will be to create an account using your email address. After you have successfully registered your account, you will gain access to the Kanopy video catalogue and over 30,000 thought-provoking titles.
Once on Kanopy, you can scroll through the titles on the landing page, or search for a specific title using the search bar at the top. If you're in the mood for a particular type of movie, you can also click "Browse," and view titles that fall under a wide variety of subjects and genres. Each library card has a limit of 8 credits (8 titles) per month.
Kanopy Kids
In addition to a variety of titles for adults, Kanopy has its own area just for kids where you can find read along storybooks, television series, movies, and even videos to help learn a new language.
